WSP Opus are a team of global experts who aspire to transform infrastructure to create better, sustainable communities.  We believe great infrastructure starts with people and through our collaborative approach, we’re creating innovative solutions for future generations.

Our Hamilton Planning and Engagement team needs an ambitious professional to work within our growing team, taking part in some of our biggest projects.  We have significant opportunities in both our planning and now increasingly important engagement practices.  This will give you the ability to expand on your own skills, while delivering a high-quality output to the client.

In addition to large infrastructure projects, we also service a wide variety of clients who need help with anything from resource consent applications, submissions in opposition or support of proposed planning projects, notices of requirement, and engaging and/or negotiating with others on particular projects. If this is something that you are interested in, why not contact us?

The opportunity:
  • Input into project scoping and planning;
  • Provide technical expertise on a variety of local, regional and national projects;
  • Engage in client interaction and relationship development; and
  • Assist the wider WSP Opus planning community on a variety of related projects.

You will have:
  • A tertiary qualification in planning/resource management or a related discipline;
  • Professional experience of more than 3 years in planning/resource management or a related discipline;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; and
  • An ability to maintain and develop client relationships.

If you are looking for a change in lifestyle, location or a better work life balance, why not come and have a chat with us?  We provide a fun and flexible working environment, with challenging and diverse projects.   In terms of the qualities we are after, we are looking for someone who is motivated,  invested in their career, and who has the technical expertise and the commercial understanding to contribute to our business.  In return, we will offer you a career-defining role, interesting and challenging projects working with world leading experts.

At WSP Opus, we foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and success, supporting our staff to reach their potential while achieving the best outcome for our clients.
